More Celebrations!!

Angela kept her party hat on all weekend! She had a soccer game on Sunday (her actual birthday) so we volunteered to bring snack. I thought it would be fun to make something soccer related.

I made the cookies using a Wilton cookie pan. The cookies were very big and used a lot of sugar cookie dough, luckily I only had to make 7 of them. I made some royal icing for the white parts then tinted the remaining icing black and piped it on to create the soccer ball. I put them in treat bags and tied it with some soccer ball ribbon. I thought they turned out really cute and all the girls said they were YUMMY!!!!

Thanks for looking! I'd love to know what you think.

Happy Birthday Angela

I can't believe my baby turned 8 over then weekend. She had such a fun day. Luckily the rain stayed away long enough to enjoy her carnival games outside. Happy Birthday Angela!!

So both my daughters love to help me in my craft room especially when it is for one of their party's. The girls did ALL the coloring on the stamped images for the cupcake toppers. I did all the gluing with the glue gun. I used the Stampin Up! set Under the Big Top for the images. The papers are also SU. We also made a banner to decorate for her party but I need to take some pictures so I will share that later.

A close up off the clown image.

On the cupcakes.

Thought I would share a couple pictures of her party.

Angela and her friend Arleigh.

Make a wish!!!!

Last but not least a picture of my niece Ravenna and her lollipop! Isn't she the cutest!

First day of school

Yesterday was my both my girls first day of school. My oldest started 5th grade and my youngest started 2nd grade. The day was bittersweet for me. The summer went by so fast I just wasn't ready for them to start school. I missed them like crazy so I thought I would make a little treat for them. I saw these cute cookies in a magazine so I tried it. They turned out pretty cute. They looked better in person, the picture makes the candy coating look wavy. But the girls (and their daddy) loved them.

Both wanted to pick some "rainbow" flowers for their teachers. Aren't they so sweet!

Spring Break on Maui

Aloha!! We spent spring break on Maui! What a great time. The weather was fantastic! It was 80 degrees with a light breeze every day! Here's a couple pictures (I'll share more later) with a few of the highlights. My sweet daughters waiting to get on the plane! They both love to fly.
We build a hammerhead shark in the sand. My youngest daughter loves sharks!

One of the prettier sunsets we had.

I saw this challenge on one of the blogs I follow and I knew I had to play along. I love these colors together. They have a bit of a spring feeling to them, and I am pretty excited for spring.
Here's my card:

The papers are retired Stampin Up! and the flowers are crocheted with a corduroy brad in the center, also Stampin Up! I added a little glitter to the steam of her coffee.

Get Well

I made this card for my Mother in law. She has been under the weather for a couple of days. I hope this card lifted her spirits.

I'm just starting to learn how to color with the copics. I think I may sign up for the beginners class at my local craft store. The coloring looked better in person it looks a bit blotchy in the photo. I'd love to hear any ideas on how to use my copics better. Here's the whole card.
The stamp set is from The Cats Pajamas. The bear is colored with copics and the apron is paper pierced. I used may arts ribbon and the felt heart button I found at Joanns. All the papers came from Stampin Up! I'd love the hear what you think.

Good luck cards

I just wanted to share a couple of cards I made for my daughters last week. Both girls had spelling tests on Thursday so I wished them luck buy surprising them with a card in their lunch boxes.

My oldest daughters favorite colors are purple and blue. So her card was made using purple and blue papers. My youngest daughter likes pink and green so her card was made with pink and green.

A close up.

The stamps are from MFT Emma and her backpack. I paper pierced her skirt then colored the rest of her with copics. The pretty papers are Stampin Up! Thanks for looking.

Grey IS the new black

I sure have been wearing more grey than I used to. It works as a neutral yet not as dark. When you live in the northwest I think you will try almost anything to brighten your day :D

So I saw this challenge and had to play along. Lots of beautiful cards. Head over and check them out.

Here's my card:

A close up of her dress. You really can't tell in the top photo but I colored her shoes red. YUM! Every outfit needs a pop of color!

This little lady is an a la mode from MFT. The papers are from my stash but I think they are from making memories. Her dress is cut from the same MM papers. The ribbon is May Arts.

Color Inspiration, Neutrals

I have a card for another fun challenge, a color challenge. I love seeing how everyone uses color so differently. If you haven't already purchased this magazine go get it! It is full of beautiful cards!

So I chose to make a neutral card. Those of you that know me would know that neutral is usually not my style but I thought these colors were so pretty together.

Here's my card.

Everything is Stampin Up! except the ribbon it came from Joann's. I'd love to here what you think.

SSSC100

After a pretty long dry spell I have spent lots of time in my craft room this week. I picked up a couple new stamp sets and have had lots of fun learning how to use my new copics. I saw this sketch and thought of this card.

This cute little bunny comes from The Cats Pajamas. (colored with copics) The paper and the blue ribbon are Stampin Up! The white ribbon on the tag came off a Christmas gift I received this year. I love the fuzzy look. Thanks for looking.

Happy New Year

I can't believe it has been over a month since I have posted anything on my blog. Busy times in my house. We sure enjoyed a wonderful holiday season.

For my first posting for the year I thought I would combine two challenges. One over at iheart2stamp and on over at OTWC. Thanks Jen for the heads up on both of these challenges!

So here is my card.
A close up of the little lady.

She is an a la mode from MFT. I paper pierced her dress and added some bling to her hair and hem. The lady herself is colored with copics (my Christmas present to myself!) I also added a touch of glitter to her drink. I'm not sure where the papers came from, I found them in my stash. Thanks for looking.
