Spring Break on Maui

Aloha!! We spent spring break on Maui! What a great time. The weather was fantastic! It was 80 degrees with a light breeze every day! Here's a couple pictures (I'll share more later) with a few of the highlights. My sweet daughters waiting to get on the plane! They both love to fly.
We build a hammerhead shark in the sand. My youngest daughter loves sharks!
Angela getting ready to snorkel. Her favorite sighting this trip was the green sea turtle.
One of the prettier sunsets we had.
Natalie and my husband getting ready to snorkel.
Natalie out in the ocean!
Our last night. The girls love the fruity drinks.

We had so much fun! I can't wait to go back. Mahalo!!

tcptues147 challenge

I saw this challenge on one of the blogs I follow and I knew I had to play along. I love these colors together. They have a bit of a spring feeling to them, and I am pretty excited for spring.
Here's my card:
My pictures didn't turn out as well as I would have liked but I hope you can still see most of the details. The image is from TCP. She is colored with copics but her scarf I paper pierced. The papers are retired Stampin Up! and the flowers are crocheted with a corduroy brad in the center, also Stampin Up! I added a little glitter to the steam of her coffee.
A close up. Thanks for looking!

Get Well

I made this card for my Mother in law. She has been under the weather for a couple of days. I hope this card lifted her spirits.

I'm just starting to learn how to color with the copics. I think I may sign up for the beginners class at my local craft store. The coloring looked better in person it looks a bit blotchy in the photo. I'd love to hear any ideas on how to use my copics better. Here's the whole card.
The stamp set is from The Cats Pajamas. The bear is colored with copics and the apron is paper pierced. I used may arts ribbon and the felt heart button I found at Joanns. All the papers came from Stampin Up! I'd love the hear what you think.

I made this card for my husband. He has been working ALOT of hours so I just wanted to let him know how much I love and appreciate him. The sentiment.
A close up.

The stamps are from The cats pajamas. I paper pierced her scarf then cut the edge with my fringe scissors. The rest of her I colored with copics. I used real red and crumb cake paper from Stampin Up! the ribbon is may arts. I'd love to know what you think.

Good luck cards

I just wanted to share a couple of cards I made for my daughters last week. Both girls had spelling tests on Thursday so I wished them luck buy surprising them with a card in their lunch boxes.

My oldest daughters favorite colors are purple and blue. So her card was made using purple and blue papers. My youngest daughter likes pink and green so her card was made with pink and green.

A close up.

The stamps are from MFT Emma and her backpack. I paper pierced her skirt then colored the rest of her with copics. The pretty papers are Stampin Up! Thanks for looking.

Grey IS the new black

I sure have been wearing more grey than I used to. It works as a neutral yet not as dark. When you live in the northwest I think you will try almost anything to brighten your day :D

So I saw this challenge and had to play along. Lots of beautiful cards. Head over and check them out.

Here's my card:

A close up of her dress. You really can't tell in the top photo but I colored her shoes red. YUM! Every outfit needs a pop of color!

This little lady is an a la mode from MFT. The papers are from my stash but I think they are from making memories. Her dress is cut from the same MM papers. The ribbon is May Arts.
